Eversight, a nonprofit eye tissue bank and research center, has announced a partnership with LighTopTech to integrate their dual modality OCX system, combining optical coherence tomography (OCT) with optical coherence microscopy (OCM). The collaboration aims to improve state-of-the-art imaging modalities for eye tissues in both clinical and research settings, Eversight said in a press release.

This cutting-edge technology aims to enhance precision in evaluating corneal tissues, crucial for transplantation suitability. The OCX system's high-resolution imaging capabilities will also aid in studying retinal diseases. The partnership is supported by a grant from the Michigan Foundation for Vision Awareness.

“We are pleased to collaborate with LighTopTech to innovate in the field of ophthalmic imaging and advance vision science to prevent, treat, and cure blinding eye conditions,” said Onkar B. Sawant, PhD, Eversight’s vice president of research and development.
