With Bausch & Lomb's Millennium 25G Entry Site Alignment System, a key component of its Millennium TSV25 vitrectomy system, surgeons can now perform vitreoretinal surgery in only three steps: insert cannulas, perform procedures, and remove cannulas. The Carl Zeiss Meditec PreView PHP visual field analyzer offers an improved way to detect and monitor signs of AMD.

AMD DETECTION PERIMETER
Carl Zeiss Meditec's advanced PreView PHP (Preferential Hyperacuity Perimeter) visual field analyzer is designed specifically for early detection and monitoring of macular degeneration. Based on the concept of hyperacuity, this testing system combines patient-interactive software with an innovative algorithm that measures relative photoreceptor field location, allowing retina specialists to identify small CNV lesions even before the patient notices any symptoms.

Features include rapid test time (about 5 minutes per eye); touch-screen operation; easy test administration; automatic test analyses; and data management capability via the Windows XP operating system. Zeiss says the PreView PHP test is more reliable than the Amsler grid and is patient friendly.
