Overview

The phase 1 JADE study indicates that OLN324 may provide retinal drying in nAMD and diabetic macular edema compared to faricimab. OLN324 demonstrated a higher percentage of DME resolution and greater visual acuity gains in AMD patients.

Background

The management of exudative retinal diseases such as neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME) is critical for preserving vision. Current standards of care primarily involve anti-VEGF therapies. The introduction of new agents like OLN324, which features a small-format design, may enhance treatment efficacy.
